Got questions?

Asking questions about life and faith is an integral part of the human experience. From ancient philosophers to modern-day thinkers, curiosity has driven us to seek answers, find meaning, and gain understanding. It is through questioning our existence, contemplating the existence of God, and exploring the purpose of our lives on this earth, that we embark on a journey of discovery and growth.

What is Alpha?

Alpha helps create a space for honest conversation around some of life’s biggest questions. It is designed to provide guests an opportunity to connect with one another and share thoughts, ideas, and opinions in a safe and caring environment. Alpha helps bring people together while providing the chance to encounter Jesus.

What does Alpha look like at First Free?

Alpha at First Free starts with a FREE meal. We believe all of life’s best conversations happen around the dinner table.

From there, each week there will be a different video unpacking and exploring an aspect of the Christian faith, addressing questions like “Who is Jesus?”, “Why and how do I pray?”, and “How does God guide us?”

After that you will have the opportunity to connect with others to discuss the video, and to ask any questions you have relating to that topic. There’s no pressure or obligation to talk if you just want to take it all in, but you might be surprised to learn that you’re not alone in your pursuit for answers!

When + Where?

Alpha meets on Tuesday nights from 6:00 - 8:30 PM at First Free Church on Mason Street in Onalaska.

Our Alpha course runs 13 weeks on a semesterly basis, starting in September and February.

Must be 18 years or older to register.
